2. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Full-Stack Developer will be responsible for supporting the team in works related to data systems and developing web-based
applications that support our research activities and client engagements. The position is remote and may involve occasional travel to
project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications tailored for social policy research and analysis.
(2) Integrate data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) into web platforms.
(3) Develop and implement Java-based applications and APIs for backend functionality.
(4) Design and manage relational and non-relational databases to store and process large-scale datasets.
(5) Set up and maintain servers, ensuring smooth deployment of web applications.
(6) Manage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization tools like Docker.
3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
(1) Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
(2) Candidates with less than 2 years of experience will be considered for a junior position. If you have extensive experience in
full-stack development, database management, and server deployment, we also encourage you to apply.
(3) Demonstrating a robust interest in research related to social policy, social protection, poverty, education, and health.
(4) Proficiency in Java for backend development and API integration.
(5) Familiarity with backend frameworks and frontend frameworks
(6) Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
(7) Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices (e.g., Docker).
(8) Demonstrating the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
(9) Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in Turkish is an advantage.
